"Psychologist Edward A. Dreyfus,Ph.D, talks about how mandatory classes would be a good idea for parents due to the fact that most have no clue or experience on taking care of a child. Dreyfus states that 'We would not think of letting people drive a car without having had some experience behind the wheel and taking a drivers test. But when it comes to raising a child, many people, if not most, have never had any experience caring for a child,' which most people would say is pretty darn true. Dreyfus also talks about how mandatory classes could be state funded and provided to parents who request government funded welfare payments (Dreyfus)."
